Overview

Walk for Life and the Famously Hot Pink Half Marathon + 5K are Prisma Health Midlands Foundation signature fundraising events benefiting Prisma Health Breast Center in Columbia, S.C. For 32 years, thousands of people have helped raise more than $11.3 million to fund the latest in digital mammography technology and enhance programs and services for breast cancer patients and their families. Proceeds from the 2022 event will help fund the latest tool in breast biopsy technology, resulting in less procedure and breast compression time for patients. Proceeds also will continue to fund post-mastectomy camisoles, post-surgery breast bears and support materials for patients and families.

After being 100% virtual for the last two years, we’ll come together again on Oct. 22, 2022 at Segra Park in Columbia, S.C. to celebrate survivors and to lift up others who are in the fight against breast cancer right now.

Register to walk or run the 5K in person on Oct. 22. Or, if you like the idea of walking or running a 5K in your own community anytime in Oct., register for the virtual walk or 5K.

If you have your sights set on running the Famously Hot Pink Half Marathon, your registration will be virtual (no in-person half marathon will be held on Oct. 22.) You can choose your favorite half marathon course and run it anytime you’d like in Oct.

All registrations will include an event T-shirt.

Registered breast cancer survivors will be given a survivors pin. Wear it any way you wish, but we’d love to see it on your shirt or finisher’s medal. Take a photo, post it on your social channels and include #Pink4Prisma.

New this year! All registered walkers and runners will receive a finisher’s medal.
Registration fees (donation to Prisma Health Breast Center):

5K walk: $45
5K race: $55
Half marathon: $85

Note: Registration fees will stay the same through Oct. 2022.

On Oct. 22, in-person walkers and 5K runners will start at the front of Segra Park and will end at Ellington Park behind Segra Park. 5K runners will start at 8:30 a.m., and walkers will start at 8:35 a.m.

All registrations include an event T-shirt and a finisher’s medal! Registered breast cancer survivors will be given a keepsake survivors pin.
