If I registered to walk, how will I get my shirt?

If you registered for the in-person 5K, your packet/bib will be available at the Strictly Running table at the front of Segra Park, Oct. 22, 7:30 a.m.- 8:15 a.m. or you can pick it up before race day at Strictly Running, 2515 Devine St., Columbia, S.C. from 12 to 5:45 p.m. Oct. 19 -21.

Who will receive a finisher’s medal?

New this year! Registered walkers and 5K runners who participate in person on Oct. 22 will receive a finisher’s medal at the finish line in Ellington Park (behind Segra Park). If you register for the virtual walk or 5K option, a medal will be mailed to you. Virtual half marathon participants will also receive a medal in their mailed packet. Finisher's medals will be available on a first come, first served basis, at the finish line area of Ellington Park, behind Segra Park. Limit one medal per registered finisher of the walk or 5K.

If I registered to walk and would like an event T-shirt, how will I get it?

In-person walkers will be given the option during their registration to either have their T-shirt mailed to the address they provided when registering, or they can choose to pick up their T-shirt the week before at Strictly Running, 2515 Devine St., Columbia, S.C. from 12 to 5:45 p.m. Oct. 19-21.
If you are an in-person walker who registers after our mailing deadline of Oct. 12, please pick up your T-Shirt at Strictly Running.
If you choose to walk virtually, your T-shirt will be mailed to the address provided during registration.

If I registered for the half marathon, how will I get my shirt and finisher’s medal?

Because half marathon registration is virtual only, T-shirts and finisher’s medals for registrants will be mailed to the address provided during registration.

Is there a guarantee I’ll get the shirt size I want? What if I need a different size from what I registered for?

Events shirts are true to size. The shirt you choose when you register will be mailed to you and cannot be exchanged. Sizes of the event shirt are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Shirt sizes are not guaranteed.

If I register and then decide I can’t participate, could I get a refund?

Registration fees are a donation to Prisma Health Breast Center, so no refunds or discounts will be issued. We are grateful for your support!

Is a paper registration option available?

Registration is online only.

I have children who want to participate. Do they need to register?

Please register children older than 5 so they will receive a shirt.

Will there be a 10K option in 2022?

A 10K race will not be available in 2022. Please register for the 5K (in-person or virtual) or the half marathon (virtual only).

Will there be an in-person Famously Hot Pink Half Marathon in 2022?

Only a virtual registration option is available for the half marathon in 2022.

What are the start times if I am walking or running the 5K in person on Oct. 22 at Segra Park?

5K runners will start at 8:30 a.m. in front of Segra Park on Oct. 22. Look for the Strictly Running race start area. Walkers will begin walking at 8:35 a.m., starting from the front of Segra Park.

I want to form a team with both walkers and runners. Is that allowed?

Teams should be comprised of only walkers. Runners for the 5K or virtual half marathon should register as individuals at StrictlyRunning.com. However, there is an option when runners register on StrictlyRunning.com to select that they would like their personal fundraising total added to an existing team’s fundraising total. The team captain will be responsible for adding that total on WalkforLifeColumbia.org. Click here for details on how to do this.

How do I add an offline donation?

Select "My Team" or "Me" from the tabs listed above your fundraising progress meter
If you select "Me," click "Add" on the right side of the page next to "Personal Donations." If you select "My Team," click "Add" on the right side of the page next to "Team Donations."
Log in-Click on your "Participant Center" in the top right corner. Be sure to select the option "Record this gift on behalf of my entire team."
Enter in gift information: donor name, amount, cash/check
Select "Add" or "Save and Add Another"

Will registration fees change?

Registration fees are the following and will not change for the 2022 events.
5K walk: $45
5K race: $55
Half marathon: $85

Is my dog (or other pet) allowed to walk or run with me?

If you choose a virtual registration option, we encourage you to have your pet tag along! If you register to join us at the in-person walk or 5K on Oct. 22 at Segra Park, no pets are allowed.
