In December 2022 I felt a lump in my left breast and thought it was nothing. To ease my mind I called the doctor office to request a diagnostic mammogram. Once the mammogram was completed they immediately performed an ultrasound which revealed abnormal cells. When I received the call that the biopsy reveal cancer in my left breast me and my family was devastated. My team of doctors decided to prescribe an aggressive treatment plan. This plan included 6 chemo visits from 7 am to 4 pm. The aggressive chemo worked to shrink the tumors from the size of a baseball to the size of an M&M. Now that chemo is completed; had a lumpectomy; its onto maintenance treatment and radiation. Even though I'm still in my journey of treatment I'm fighting though. Beating this cancer is my priority! I will continue to fight though the pain to survive. We are all blessed with the latest innovative technology in early detection.
