Hi Family, Friends, and Neighbors!  Welcome to 2024 Team "Pink Praisers"!

I have greatly appreciated the support many of you have given me in past years.  I am now a 10 1/2-year breast cancer survivor and I am excited about helping others.

My team will hold a mini "Walk for Life" on Saturday, October 12.  We will meet at the Drew Wellness Center's Walking Trail by 10:00 a.m. Walkers will have a choice of walking 1/3, 2/3, or an entire mile.  Each lap around the trail is 1/3 mile.

I have again partnered this year with Project Catch Up of Trinity Baptist Church.  

You are encouraged to wear a pink t-shirt that you already own. By doing this, your entire donation can benefit the Prisma Health Foundation. If you wish to purchase a new 2024 t-shirt from Project Catch Up, please give me your size by September 16 and pay $10 directly to me in addition to your donation 

After the walk at 11:15, we will gather at Trinity Baptist at 2521 Richland Street. There will be a short program in which persons impacted by breast cancer will share something about their journeys. Goody-bags and boxed lunches will be shared with everyone there.  

If you wish to walk at Segra Park for the "big" 3-mile walk at 8:00am, you must REGISTER for a team with $45 and Prisma Health will provide the t-shirt. Please register by September 30 so that I can pick up the t-shirts for Columbia residents.  Prisma Health will mail the t-shirts to those who live outside of the Columbia area.  You will still be welcome to join us later and walk another mile at Drew Wellness Center. 

If you are a member of an organization that would like to participate in a charitable event, this would be a great opportunity to help sponsor my team! Please let me know ASAP if you wish to be a sponsor.  Your organization's name will be displayed on the back of the t-shirt from Project Catch Up.
